I'd look to see if there is a backup in Firefox itself, I would have used Export to file under Manage Bookmarks. If those failed I would see if my OS has a method to revert to an earlier state of operation, one of the backups made periodically. But these days i'd be in no rush, I'd query searches for advice along the way and to develop a plan.
