A simple, beautiful lesson I learned from Robert Redford [View all]

in The Horse Whisperer: There is a scene where RR is making scrambled eggs for himself and Scarlett Johansen' character. She's says something that indicates she's ready to open up about what's happened in her life. The camera focuses in on RR's hand turning the gas off on the uncooked eggs.

The lesson was that if you really want to value someone and hear them, stop what you're doing and focus only on them.

What simple lesson did you learn from a Robert Redford movie?
