1. I loved Hungry Howie's poppyseed crusts, but they quit making them. Apparently they are hard to do right.

A few years ago we had one here in Huntsville, but no more. It may have been Covid19 that did them in.

Garlic-butter-poppyseed crust on a veggie deluxe. SOOOOO satisfying.

Locally, Mellow Mushroom is my favorite. I've lived in several different places that had a MM and each one is very different; v. little standard about decor, etc. But the pizza, soft pretzels, appetizers and hoagies are great. And they give you a treat on your birthday!
