It’s rare, but one can be what is known as a nonresponder to a vaccine. Take the MMR as the example. You could get the vaccine and make antibodies for the mumps and rubella viruses, but not the measles.

How do I know? Because I’m one of those rare people. I found out when I had a required titer for grad school. It showed my antibodies were too low. Got the vaccine two more times with titers after each and no immune response.

So, I rely on herd immunity to protect me from measles. If I were to get it as an adult, it could be deadly. Let me just say that if I did get it and it could be traced to some antivaxx asshole’s kid, either my estate (and thus, my son) or I would sue for every goddamned dime I could get. I don’t care if they could never pay it off. They’d be my version of Alex “Tinfoil Hat” Jones (Q-Insane).

Examples need to be made of these people.
