If ABC affiliates won't air what the ABC Network produces, then the ABC Network is out of business.

FCC Chair Brendan Carr threatened to yank ABC affiliates' station licenses if they continued to air Kimmel, so the ABC affiliates owned by NexStar took Kimmel off the air.
