TLDR: Maxwell's nephew worked for the Clinton campaign and State Department. Bill allegedly flew on Epstein's plane (I think Bill has denied this though). As Secretary of State, Clinton would have had a role in ending human trafficking.
The committee is going pretty far back. Notice Alberto Gonzalez is on there. It's partisan crap, yeah, but Democrats will have an opportunity to ask questions and inject some sanity into the event, and remind the public that Krasnov is Epstein's #1 buddy.

Dear Secretary Clinton:On July 23, 2025, the Subcommittee on Federal Law Enforcement of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (Committee) unanimously voted to approve a motion directing the Committee to authorize and issue a subpoena to you for a deposition. Your family appears to have had a close relationship with both Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell. For example, your husband President William Bill Jefferson Clinton, by his own admission, flew on Jeffrey Epsteins private plane four separate times in 2002 and 2003 on trips for your familys foundation, the Clinton Foundation. During one of these trips, he was even pictured receiving a massage from one of Mr. Epsteins victims. Moreover, your husband was allegedly close to Ms. Maxwell, while Ms. Maxwells nephew worked for your 2008 presidential campaign and was hired by the State Department shortly after you became Secretary of State. Pursuant to this direction, please see the attached subpoena for you to appear at a deposition on October 9, 2025.On July 6, 2019, federal authorities arrested Mr. Jeffrey Epstein and two days later an indictment was unsealed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District for New York charging him with sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of minors. According to the indictment, Mr. Epstein sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes in Manhattan, Palm Beach, and other locations. Among other things, the indictment alleged that Mr. Epstein enticed girls as young as 14 years old to engage in sex acts with him in exchange for money. This was not the first time that Mr. Epstein had been investigated for committing sex crimes. In 2008, he pled guilty in Florida state court to two prostitution offenses, and, in exchange, he and his co-conspirators received immunity from federal prosecution through a non-prosecution agreement. On August 10, 2019, while in federal custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York, New York, Mr. Epstein died. The Chief Medical Examiner of New York City ruled his death a suicide. Subsequently, on June 28, 2022, Ms. Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiring with Mr. Epstein to sexually abuse minors. The facts and circumstances surrounding both Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwells cases have received immense public interest and scrutiny. At the outset of the 119th Congress, on February 11, 2025, the Committee and the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets sent a letter to the Department of Justice (Department) requesting a briefing regarding documents in the Departments possession regarding the investigation into and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein. On May 8, the Task Force sent another letter to the Department requesting the public release of the entirety of the Epstein files and a briefing regarding the release of these files. On July 17, President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to court approval
On July 18, in response to the Presidents direction, Attorney General Bondi posted on X, [o]ur motion has been filed. On July 22, Attorney General Bondi posted a statement from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche on X stating, If Ghislaine Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and DOJ will hear what she has to say. Further, Deputy Attorney General Blanche stated, This Department of Justice does not shy away from uncomfortable truths, nor from the responsibility to pursue justice wherever the facts may lead. While the Department undertakes efforts to uncover and publicly disclose additional information related to Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwells cases, it is imperative that Congress conduct oversight of the federal governments enforcement of sex trafficking laws generally and specifically its handling of the investigation and prosecution of Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell. The Committee may use the results of this investigation to inform legislative solutions to improve federal efforts to combat sex trafficking and reform the use of non-prosecution agreements and/or plea agreements in sex-crime investigations. Given your familys past relationships with Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell, the Committee believes that you may have information regarding their activities that is relevant to the Committees investigation. Also, given your past service as Secretary of State, the Committee believes that you may have knowledge of efforts by the federal government to combat international sex trafficking operations of the type run by Mr. Epstein. The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is the principal oversight committee of the U.S. House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate any matter at any time under House Rule X. Further, pursuant to House Rule XI clause 2(k)(6)
the chair shall receive and the committee shall dispose of requests to subpoena additional witnesses. Additionally, House Rule XI clause 2(m)(1)(B) grants Committees of the House of Representatives the authority to require, by subpoena or otherwise, the attendance and testimony of such witnesses and the production of such books, records, correspondence, memoranda, papers, and documents as it considers necessary. If you have any questions regarding this subpoena, please contact Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Majority staff at (202) 225-5074.

What the Hell information would Hilary Clinton have? She's never been named as having any association with Epstein

Not possible. No Republican is even 10% as smart as she is. It would blow up in their faces.

Trump's deal with Maxwell to exonerate him in return for a pardon likely requires her to also implicate the Clintons.

The Clintons should claim the are incompetent to testify and back it up with things Trump has said about them.
