"The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform announced it had sent out the deposition subpoenas to the Clintons, former Attorneys General Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Bill Barr, Merrick Garland, Jeff Sessions and Alberto Gonzales, and former FBI Directors James Comey and Robert Mueller "for testimony related to horrific crimes perpetrated by Jeffrey Epstein."

"Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., also issued a subpoena to the Justice Department for "records related to" Epstein, a convicted sex offender who was found dead in his jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

"That subpoena directs DOJ to turn over the “full, complete, unredacted Epstein Files” to the committee "on or before August 19, 2025."

and she was not in office when Epstein was first arrested, during the sweetheart deal, or during his second arrest. Also, why Bill Clinton - he hasn't held office since 2001. Everybody else on the list was a Federal official between 2006 & 2008 or between 2017 & 2025. Smacks of an obvious partisan witch hunt to include him but nobody else known to be named in the files.

At least 2 people who are curiously absent from this list. Michael Mukasey who was the actual AG when Epstein got his sweetheart deal. Seems like they subpoenaed every AG except the one most likely to be covering up information. Also, why no Alex Acosta - the US Attorney responsible for the sweetheart deal?

TLDR: Maxwell's nephew worked for the Clinton campaign and State Department. Bill allegedly flew on Epstein's plane (I think Bill has denied this though). As Secretary of State, Clinton would have had a role in ending human trafficking.

The committee is going pretty far back. Notice Alberto Gonzalez is on there. It's partisan crap, yeah, but Democrats will have an opportunity to ask questions and inject some sanity into the event, and remind the public that Krasnov is Epstein's #1 buddy.

Dear Secretary Clinton:On July 23, 2025, the Subcommittee on Federal Law Enforcement of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (“Committee”) unanimously voted to approve a motion directing the Committee to authorize and issue a subpoena to you for a deposition. Your family appears to have had a close relationship with both Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell. For example, your husband President William “Bill” Jefferson Clinton, by his own admission, flew on Jeffrey Epstein’s private plane four separate times in 2002 and 2003 on trips for your family’s foundation, the Clinton Foundation. During one of these trips, he was even pictured receiving a “massage” from one of Mr. Epstein’s victims. Moreover, your husband was allegedly close to Ms. Maxwell, while Ms. Maxwell’s nephew worked for your 2008 presidential campaign and was hired by the State Department shortly after you became Secretary of State. Pursuant to this direction, please see the attached subpoena for you to appear at a deposition on October 9, 2025.On July 6, 2019, federal authorities arrested Mr. Jeffrey Epstein and two days later an indictment was unsealed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District for New York charging him with sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking of minors. According to the indictment, Mr. Epstein sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes in Manhattan, Palm Beach, and other locations. Among other things, the indictment alleged that Mr. Epstein enticed girls as young as 14 years old to engage in sex acts with him in exchange for money. This was not the first time that Mr. Epstein had been investigated for committing sex crimes. In 2008, he pled guilty in Florida state court to two prostitution offenses, and, in exchange, he and his co-conspirators received immunity from federal prosecution through a non-prosecution agreement. On August 10, 2019, while in federal custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York, New York, Mr. Epstein died. The Chief Medical Examiner of New York City ruled his death a suicide. Subsequently, on June 28, 2022, Ms. Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiring with Mr. Epstein to sexually abuse minors. The facts and circumstances surrounding both Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell’s cases have received immense public interest and scrutiny. At the outset of the 119th Congress, on February 11, 2025, the Committee and the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets sent a letter to the Department of Justice (“Department”) requesting a briefing regarding documents in the Department’s possession regarding “the investigation into and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein.” On May 8, the Task Force sent another letter to the Department requesting the public release of “the entirety of the Epstein files” and a briefing regarding the release of these files. On July 17, President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, “I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to court approval…” On July 18, in response to the President’s direction, Attorney General Bondi posted on X, “[o]ur motion has been filed.”On July 22, Attorney General Bondi posted a statement from Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche on X stating, “If Ghislaine Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and DOJ will hear what she has to say.” Further, Deputy Attorney General Blanche stated, “This Department of Justice does not shy away from uncomfortable truths, nor from the responsibility to pursue justice wherever the facts may lead.”While the Department undertakes efforts to uncover and publicly disclose additional information related to Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell’s cases, it is imperative that Congress conduct oversight of the federal government’s enforcement of sex trafficking laws generally and specifically its handling of the investigation and prosecution of Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell. The Committee may use the results of this investigation to inform legislative solutions to improve federal efforts to combat sex trafficking and reform the use of non-prosecution agreements and/or plea agreements in sex-crime investigations. Given your family’s past relationships with Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell, the Committee believes that you may have information regarding their activities that is relevant to the Committee’s investigation. Also, given your past service as Secretary of State, the Committee believes that you may have knowledge of efforts by the federal government to combat international sex trafficking operations of the type run by Mr. Epstein. The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is the principal oversight committee of the U.S. House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X. Further, pursuant to House Rule XI clause 2(k)(6) “…the chair shall receive and the committee shall dispose of requests to subpoena additional witnesses.” Additionally, House Rule XI clause 2(m)(1)(B) grants Committees of the House of Representatives the authority “to require, by subpoena or otherwise, the attendance and testimony of such witnesses and the production of such books, records, correspondence, memoranda, papers, and documents as it considers necessary.” If you have any questions regarding this subpoena, please contact Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Majority staff at (202) 225-5074.

Then why is she the only Secretary of State subpoenaed?

Bill Clinton has NEVER denied flying on Epstein's plane. He did in association with trips for the Clinton Foundation. He would have had Secret Service Agents with him at all times. Bill Clinton has also called for the entire Epstein files to be released. Clearly, he feels he has nothing to hide (unlike Trump). There are hundreds of people known to have flown on Epstein's plane, why is Bill Clinton the only one of those subpoenaed?

A whole bunch of AGs (both Republican & Democrat) were subpoenaed, but the one who was the AG at the time of Epstein's sweetheart deal in 2008 (Michael Mukasey) was not. Neither was Alex Acosta, the US Attorney who negotiated that sweetheart deal. You know, the 2 people who were actually involved in allowing Epstein to "get away with it" and should be made to explain why they agreed to an illegal plea deal that allowed probably the worst sex trafficker in US history to escape punishment for his crimes.

They've given away the entire game with this list of people subpoenaed. They are making no effort to actually find out any details about people actually involved with Epstein's crimes. This is clearly for show. It won't work. It will blow up in their faces.

You may have suspicions about Clarence Thomas, but he has been mentioned nowhere in relation to Epstein. Not on the flight logs. Not in the little black book. Not by any of the victims who've spoken out. I've seen no speculation from any credible source that he had any involvement with Epstein.

............The cover letter to the former president calls for him to sit for a deposition on Oct. 14 to answer questions about his relationship with Epstein.

"By your own admission, you flew on Jeffrey Epstein’s private plane four separate times in 2002 and 2003," Comer wrote.

"You were also allegedly close to Ms. Ghislane Maxwell, an Epstein co-conspirator, and attended an intimate dinner with her in 2014, three years after public reports about her involvement in Mr. Epstein’s abuse of minors," the letter said, misspelling the first name of Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in helping Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls.

The Comer letter also says "there are conflicting reports about whether you ever visited Mr. Epstein’s island." Clinton has denied ever going to Epstein's private island, where some of the abuse is alleged to have occurred. President Donald Trump, who also once had a friendly relationship with Epstein and Maxwell, alleged Clinton had gone to the island "28 times" but provided no proof of the claim.
