the Palace of Fine Arts?

I grew up in the Bay Area and moved away in the early aughts, right after the dot-com bubble burst and when the tech sector still acted like a positive, hopeful force for good, not like these tech bros trying to burn it all down. Not too far away, just to L.A., but I get homesick sometimes. It's more consistently liberal overall and has a "quirky" quotient like nowhere else in America save maybe New Orleans.
