I am just now catching up with replies.

The subject that you are bringing up has generally been posted in the I/P group and for a reason. The current events have had this subject spill out into the regular forums but it's a fine line on whether posting such violates the SOPs for the "big forums".

MY reply was to focus on why Graham became "the news of the day" (which ended up overlapped with McConnell's drama). I linked to what I posted with respect to Khanna's experience to indicate that it WAS posted *somewhere*.

I post news on a WIDE variety of subjects that fit within the Democratic party platform for interest.

In other words, I am not a "1-trick pony".

I try to post "news" IN LBN (which has a "no duplicates" policy), where most on DU are posting "news" in General Discussion because naturally that is where most of the readers are and the posting criteria is not as restrictive.

There was another article I saw not long after I posted that OP, about the West Bank Settlers apparently going after some reporters as well (including a CNN reporter IIRC). If I had posted that too, I would have been alert-stalked and had my thread locked as a dupe.

I try to "add value" to my LBN posts with press releases, links to court cases, statements, reports, journal publications, and related social media content when included in the source article, as well as including links to previous OPs on the subject matter that I grab via Advanced Search for background.

In other words, I try to avoid the "hit and run" stuff that seems to be far too common here.

Maybe you should take the time to do the same.
