America is an old country

The US population distribution by age shows that a large proportion of the population is in the working-age group (15-64 years), with about 64.75% in this category in 2024. There is a significant older adult population (65 and over), making up approximately 17.93% in 2024, and a smaller proportion of children and young people (0-14 years) at about 17.32%. This represents an aging nation, as the share of the population aged 65 and older has increased significantly over the last century...

Compare that to Nepal... which I only bring up because a spontaneous revolt just overthrew their government:

0-14 years: 28.71%
15-64 years: 64.93%
65+ years: 6.36%
