Is it just me, or is shit escalating faster than normal?

I never post stuff like this, but I've been stricken with a true sense of dread in the past few hours.

My intuition is usually spot on, and it seems like shit is really starting to spin out of control.

There was a good post in here earlier about how many were mocked years ago when we talked about Trump going "full Hitler".

I was one of those people who said that the day after election day in 2016.

I think the spark we've been dreading has finally arrived...the Charlie Kirk shooting. and the right-wing spin is working furiously to blame the left. I'm not seeing much push-back on this.

It's apparent to me that many in the media are truly afraid, to speak up. Many are shaken to their core with fear.

Why why WHY can't the Dems get in front of shit like this?

This has turned into a metaphorical street fight. There are no rules in a street fight. Eye gouging, biting off body parts (figuratively, I'm not calling for violence)...that's the mindset the "good guys" need to have. Because being a "good guy" isn't going to cut it anymore.

Most (note that I typed MOST) of the "good guys" don't have the will to fight. because most of us are not built that way. We are a gentler sort, a "take the high road" type.

We need press conferences. We need notable Dems to be on the TV as much as possible, waking people up, and telling the media personalities to their faces, on live TV, that they are full of shit with their "both-siderism".

WE feel fear. WE feel rage. most people however, are walking around like everything is normal.

People need to be screamed at. They need to know they are at risk PERSONALLY. The apathetic need to feel the fear we do.

We need 10 of millions of more people to wake the fuck up, or else, when this is all over, it's going to be like the "normal" Germans who were puking when they realized what happened in the concentration camps.

Jesus Christ, who would have thought the spark would have been the killing of some asshole who I barely even heard of.

I'm prepared for backlash on this post.

There's just not enough people pushing back in a meaningful way...we have millions, but we need many more millions to be shaken from their slumber.

Personally, I protest. I send emails to representatives I mock. I belittle. I try to educate...but that's a lost fucking cause.

And I'm preaching to the choir, I know.

Trump is a cornered animal, most likely because of Epstein, but also with something else more nefarious that we know nothing about.

This has gone way too far, and I can't imagine what is going to fix it at this point.
