30. Absolutely. Finding ways to preserve hope is key.

In expressing my fears the last thing I want is for it to be seen a prediction of doom that feeds hopelessness and cynicism. I'm usually better about adding something to combat immobilizing overwhelm at what we are up against. My fears are real. But we must also find ways to connect with others to "do our bits of good." (Desmond Tutu: "Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world" )

Of course we CAN and MUST redeem our national soul. And part of that means paying attention to the messages we promote online. Some great points were made in this recent segment from Tad Stoermer’s: "Don’t become a tool of the counter-resistance." As he points out, Hope is as much of the lifeblood of resistance as Lies are for authoritarians.
