IMO, there is a story developing, and there very well could be a media production going on. If Trump "feels" a deep-seated empathy for Kirk because of his own assassination attempt, the medal of freedom ceremony will be Act 1.

There. I said it. The production capability of this administration could be enhanced by AI for all kinds of nefarious moves and narratives -- I'm thinking about "Wag the Dog" -- anything to stay in over-my-dead-body power, even suppress or eliminate the midterms.
