4. Right!

At one of the sites where my friends & I attend rallies, I run into friends I knew when I worked at the mental health clinic. There are some community-based crises that require a combined response from mental health and law enforcement. The clinic always sent me out, likely in part because I was always calm in such crises. (I've had shotguns pointed close to my head, which is a huge target. An hour after resolution, I might think, "By gosh, I'd like a drink," however. Set the record for getting death threats. But being Irish by nature, I enjoyed danger.)

One is retired from the sheriff's office, the other retired after a career as a BCI investigator. Everyone knows and trusts them. They both have short hair, though in defense of the retired investigator, he has a classic Irish red beard. Having had contact with many Irish catholics, I share the idea that one should forgive men for opting to have short hair.


Note: my attempts at humor are based upon an interview with John Lennon that I heard in 1968. I am incapable of remembering it word for word, much less joke for joke. However, a relatively short time later, both John & Yoko shaved their heads.
