2. Point isn't just stopping Hamas, it is terrorizing anyone who stands up for Palestinians. Will not end well for Israel.

Thursday

In the near term they are exacting retribution for the Hamas attack. Killing journalists, aid workers and imprisoning random civilians is just acceptable collateral damage in Netanyahu's mind I guess. In the longer term they are making more enemies who are devising new ways to terrorize Israel in return in the future and losing support of almost everyone globally.
