COVID-19 cases are surging in Texas, just in time for back-to-school season, according to wastewater samples taken last week.

Yes. The viral activity level in the state’s wastewater last week was classified as “very high,” far outpacing national and regional averages, according to data released Friday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The data included wastewater samples from the Houston area, with multiple sites in Harris, Montgomery and Galveston counties reporting very high viral levels. .....

Texas had the second-highest rate of COVID diagnoses among people who visited the emergency department last week, at 2%, the CDC reported. That marked a 17% increase from the week before.

I believe these numbers. After five years and nine or ten COVID shots, I finally got COVID and so this news does not surprise me. I did not wear a mask on Sunday when we saw James Gunn's Superman (a movie that I really recommend). Paxlovid is great and I am feeling human

Please take care. These numbers are scary
