6. Oh, the R's are more than willing to vote for the hard right

But most of the rest of the electorate can’t be bothered to register to vote, let alone go down to the polls to cast their ballots.

I find it very disheartening. Even if the R’s won squeaker elections by three or four election points and voter turnout at about 75 percent, I’d feel hopeful and motivated. I’d still believe that the good guys had a chance. But when the most awful R’s win by double digits and over 55 percent of the electorate can’t even rouse themselves to vote, it’s heart-breaking. The electorate here is like a right-wing banana republic dictator’s wet dream, even with Texas’ changing demographics.
