...of their time in office: too young; too old; too smart or dumb; too whatever.... And as long as those stories make money there will always be a Tapper or Wolff to cash the checks.

Given the leaps forward in computing power even among rival countries--see Zuchongzhi 3.0--we are fairly rapidly approaching the day when the cognitive abilities of mere humans in office will be a quaint notion. For that matter, the concept of "human" reporters will be a quaint notion.

How can we possibly see the road ahead when we constantly look in the rearview mirror?

It is modern medicine that has allowed the two oldest political candidates in history to battle it out over the last decade, but it will be modern computing power that will define the last half of this century's political battles. I hope Democrats are preparing for that reality now.
