In reply to the discussion: Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy says 'no doubt' Biden suffered cognitive decline while in office [View all]lees1975
(6,735 posts)67. It does.
And in spite of the savaging that David Hogg has taken in advocating for change, he's 100% correct.
The only Democrats actually rallying the party toward unity are Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Everyone else is hunkered down, sending out their fundraising appeals for the mid-terms, describing themselves as the best option for the money when it comes to defeating Trumpers, and protecting their own turf if they're a potential 2028 Presidential hopeful. None of that is what we need now.

OP
It drives me nuts. All the GOP has to do is play videos of Democrats telling everyone how awful

He's my senator and I like him a lot. We don't like what he has to say but he is not our enemy.

He's no longer a Dem contender for '28. He needs to learn to keep his mouth. shut...

There was no vote on sending weapons to Israel. Your senators voted "yes" on a motion to discharge.

Your post is a reasonable response to this issue. But politics, unfortunately, don't seem to be "reasonable."

Dean Phillips was the only Democratic member of Congress with the courage to speak up when it mattered

Phillips was the target of attacks here for daring to mount a primary challenge.

Is Murphy or any other politician (or aide) who are shitting on our last President a neurologist or a gerontologist?

While I tend to agree that Biden should have made his decision not to run before the 2022 midterms,

Why are we disgussing this? What about the obvious mental decline in the current WH resident????

"cognitive decline" is a very broad phrase that Democrats should steer clear of.

It would be so much better if people actually listened to Murphy's whole interview rather than knee jerking

It seems that any Democrat who dares to question President Biden's fitness gets automatically
