4. There does appear to be some seasonality. CSU and State Agriculture and Dept. of Wildlife staff are

collecting samples/testing continuously and are seeing some drop in positivity in Peromyscus species rodents (a common carrier believed to be the source to Colorado dairies--among the most impacted in the country) and other species, including a wide variety of birds and water fowl. Likewise, a decrease in issues in Colorado poultry facilities (and yes we actually DO have some). Likewise hospital ERs have included Avian Flu testing on some of their respiratory panels along with RSV, Type A & B influenza, COVID-19, Rhinovirus, and Strep. Not everyone gets that added screen for Avian FLu (expensive) but enough random samples to be significant and CO Public Health is not reporting positivities recently (nor in dairy or poultry workers.

Nor are we seeing bird die-offs right now.

The Fall may be a different situation but there is a drop-off in risk/spread right now.
