Joe strikes me as a man whose service held him up through a life of pain. I know were all fragile and mortal but the pile-on at this moment would be damn near unbearable for many. I hope he knows hes loved deeply and has given everything for us, and isnt just being thought of as flawed and failing.
We need to let him know that.
