My company has been hit hard by the tariffs. We get large bonuses every year and have meetings and email updates on how we're performing on our metrics that go into how much our bonus will be. Every single one of these messages or meetings has talked about tariffs in terms of, 'We're monitoring it and taking some actions to be more efficient, and so far the tariffs haven't hurt our performance towards these metrics..." So we all know what that means, the tariffs are being set up as the reason we will get a smaller bonus or no bonus at all.

Last year, my group's bonus was about 22% of our salary. So they're a big deal and people rely on them. If the tariffs cost us our bonus, I am sure the company will be fairly clear about that. And if that happens, every MAGA I work with is going to hear from me, "Hope those tariffs were great for you, because they just cost you and me 22% of our salaries."
