Not acceptable in polite company given the context.

How about 'hot wheels'?

Also a common expression in her community? It's not in mine.

We don't have to be like them.

I suspect she'll learn to moderate herself. That's what I would expect from an intelligent person because I do believe she is an intelligent person.
