(525 posts)I don't know how widespread that dissatisfaction was with what was seen as Biden's support of Netanyahu's campaign against the Palestinian's, and Harris' refusal or inability to distance herself from that perceived stance.
I know that several young people of my acquaintance chose not to vote at all rather than vote for Harris because of this single issue. My wife almost made the same choice for the same reason.
These are not the people that voted for Trump because of this issue, though they might have cost us votes as well. These are people that just bowed out.
These people may be unhappy with the result now but felt it was the right thing to do at the time.
I don't KNOW that made the difference, but I do think it likely impacted the total Democratic vote.
And I don't this was a right/center/left issue. Just one of the tragedies of our time.
