Situations like this escalate a lot faster than people think, especially in Indiana. Once minors are in the car, the entire case is treated differently from the start.

When I went through my own OWI mess, Wruble Law explained how the state stacks the charges, the automatic suspension, and the insurance repercussions. Seeing cases like this now, I understand why prosecutors don't hesitate, the statute leaves almost no room for leniency when kids are involved
