He’s the eighth pastor in the more than 200-year history of Alfred Street Baptist Church.

He was born in Chicago.

Undergraduate degree from Duke University in biomedical and electrical engineering, magna cum laude.

Then he was on a path toward medical school, but felt called to ministry and attended seminary at Boston University School of Theology.

Ministry & Accomplishments
Under his leadership, Alfred Street has grown significantly—from about 2,500 members to 10,000+ regular members.

The church also has many active ministries (children’s ministries, missions, etc.), and has committed to major giving. For example, since 2020 through something called Tithe-the-Tithe, the church has given more than $5.4 million to over 200 organizations.
