1. The last time the GOP went totally tariff crazy was Smoot-Hawley in 1930

when they decided, in their infinite wisdom, that the best way to get things going in the US was to put a huge tax on imports. Those tariffs hit what was left of business and agriculture and deepened what was then a very deep recession into the Great Depression.

I don't know why these dumb bastards think clobbering citizens and businesses alike with heavy taxes in the form of tariffs is a particularly good idea for the general economy. In this clown's idiot defense, he's just trying to raise money on our backs to pay for his tax cuts for himself and his rotten class of billionaires. The result won't be that different from what Smoot-Hawley did if this corrupt USSC doesn't overturn them.

Yay! The quickest way to economic prosperity is to jack up taxes and prices on the people who have the least money to pay them. It's the Republican Way! Let's hope it's why nobody with a functioning brain will voe for them again unil the MAGAts are all gone
