And i have to agree with your prejudices. We were used to professional newscasters and journalists. Their sense of professionalism shone thru everything even just reading the news. You could tell they'd studied the stories before they went on the air and gave value added to the bits. No one could beat Cronkite, IMO. I remember him doing the moon trips and especially Kennedys assassination and funeral. He's turning over in his grave at what passes for newspaper today.
