Trump Forced To WITHDRAW Nominee For Top Prosecutor in Washington DC - Glenn Kirschner

Donald Trump apparently thought it was a good idea to nominate Ed "Stop the Steal" Martin - a man who had never prosecuted so much as a traffic violation - to be the US Attorney for the District of Columbia, the top prosecutor in DC.

But after ProPublica investigative journalist Andy Kroll did a deep dive investigation, exposing Martin's unsuitability for the job, things changed in a hurry. On May 8, Sen. Dick Derbin came out forcefully against Martin'c nomination. Sen Derbin quoted a number of findings from Andy's ProPublica exposé. Within hours, Trump withdrew his nomination of Martin.

This is a tribute to the power of investigative journalism in this fight for American democracy.
