Trump does not have the legal authority to deport American citizens, but he probably has the power to do so. This is what a Dictator does- executes decisions that are not stopped despite them being unlawful. Trump has been in violation of the law and the Constitution from Day One. His Executive Orders are diktats. They are not lawful but he puts them into effect anyway because he and his gang of MAGA idiots have control over the Executive Branch and are running roughshod over the Legislative and Judicial Branches. So Trump DOES have the power to do what he does; he just does not have the legal authority or the legal right.
