but up until now, the only thing I knew about prostate cancer is that, if it's caught early enough for surgery to deal with it, the surgery results in the genitals appearing bruised for awhile. A friend of mine's husband had tat surgery and came home with black-and-blue genitals. Not expecting that (and probably being under considerable stress herself, and maybe with some relief that he was out of the hospital) could not help laughing. Not the best reaction. In surgical cases, I do think wives should be warned of this.
