'Extinction-level event' for NASA science: Bill Nye on proposed Trump cuts - CNN [View all]



President Trump’s proposed budget would cut money from NASA science programs, prioritizing missions to Mars instead. The $6 billion in proposed cuts would cancel robotic space science missions and would slash Earth science research at NASA, including eliminating what it says are “low-priority climate monitoring satellites.”

Bill Nye, CEO of The Planetary Society and science educator, spoke with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins about the Trump administration’s proposed budget cuts.
