1. As I understand recreational legalization in California...

...it is legal to give cannabis to another person who is least 21 years old.

It is illegal to sell any amount to any person, if the seller is not authorized by the State and Local Authorities.

An individual having more than an ounce in their possession would be violating the law, so if people "donated" more than an ounce, that could be problematic.

Lastly, an individual may grow up to six plants at one time.

One more edit: It is illegal to actually smoke/ingest cannabis almost everywhere except in one's own, or a friend's home/residence.

And, obviously, it is illegal to "smoke and drive."
