9. Something that might've been overlooked

This thread’s older now but still felt like adding, your friend sounds like a fighter. The fact that she put up a helluva fight says a lot about her, and about how lucky she was that someone called it in.

One thing that hasn’t been mentioned yet is that in some cases, depending on how things happened on the job (and who was supposed to be protecting her there), there may be legal steps beyond criminal court. Especially if it happened while she was working and alone.
