Occupy the Rose Parade 2014 - Wednesday, January 1, 2014 7:30am [View all]

The tradition continues. Occupy groups and friends are working on 3 floats this year. One will be the anti-TPP locomotive, there will be an anti-Big Bank foreclosure themed segment, along with a massive anti-fracking oil rig.
If you would like to help with the floats (build/paint/etc), message Vvlaadd, in order to be connected with the building times and locations. Most of the building will take place in Venice and East LA.
To march with us at the Rose Parade, meet us by Singer Park in Pasadena at 7:30AM. We won't enter the parade until later when the last float passes us yet this point in time is hard to predict so we need to be ready when the moment comes.
Plan on using Metro Rail and get off at the Fillmore station as traffic and parking will be tough.
Float handlers will get to Singer Park with the floats at 5:30AM in order to beat traffic and find parking that is reasonably close to make unloading easier.
