My younger brother died in 1983, at age 29. I went around and around trying to find a reason why he died. It was over 20 years, and I read a parent's comment about the loss of a young child. She said, "Some things are just unacceptable." That once sentence got me out of a longtime low spot. And I think understanding that has helped me with subsequent losses. I still take as much time as I need, but it seems that I have been able to get back on my feet after time passes.
