I've been keeping my own records since Nov. 1st, 1980. At 1320' and in the Northern Foothills of the Catskills. I recorded this Dec avg temp as 23.02F, Long term is 27.47F. The annual average for 2025 is 47.06F, Long term average is 47.22F. Precip was also right around average at 4.4". but the annual was 59.75", with the long term, being 53.36". Overall precip has risen from 46" to the current avg. Temp overall has risen by 1.8F since 1980-85(my base period). The past two years have been cooler and wetter, reversing the trend. I have records of hard frost date being the last week of September, to where it is now been the first two weeks of November for the last 13 years. It is nothing if not interesting.
