9. In 1987 I was in a severe car accident.

I was unconscious and taken to a trauma1 hospital by ambulance. Most of the time I was unconscious, however, I was aware of my surroundings. The hospital called my house and my teenage son answered the phone and was told I was in critical condition at the hospital. He, my other kids, and my mom and dad rushed down to the hospital while trying to call my husband at work. He was finally located in a meeting and came to the hospital too. I remember seeing my children and my dad, especially, coming into the cubicle in the ER. Apparently I was still unconscious at that time. Then my husband came in and everyone says I opened my eyes. He asked what happened. He was referring to the accident. I then said, "I don't know. I was talking to Jenny, and she told me it was time to wake up." Jenny was my dear cousin that I was very close to. She had passed away a couple of years prior from cancer. I would not even have remembered any of this if my husband had not told me about this later.
