and I was wondering if his heartworm medicine would help. We go on it seasonally up here in Maine and we've never had an ear mite problem before. But we had such a long fall (other than the October foot of snow) and mild winter, that may have left him susceptible. In my research I saw that the prescription for it is (topical) ivermectin, which is the drug same as the (oral) heartworm drug we use...

His ears seem much improved today. I'm thinking the tea tree wash will at least keep'em in check until he sees the vet and gets his heartwormer.
