I posted in the second of the two threads, which also alerts members to the double post so when responding they can choose the earlier post instead because the later original post is more likely to be self-deleted which blocks replies in it. It would still be a good idea if the OP self-deleted one even now.

We have all double posted. Happens. Usually we notice double posts and self-delete one because we look at the forum or our posting list or such. There are multiple confirmations and checks members can use to review their posts and this becomes a habit as users here gain more experience. Now that I've explained a little, does that make me double mean?

Can you point to one mean word I posted in this thread? Nope.

DU Founder Skinner said "Good DU citizens check for duplicates." Does that make him a meanie?
