He had an easy touchdown right in front of him. No one would have jumped on him if he had scored the TD. People would have criticized the coach for calling a pass play with 1:50 to go. He's a receiver. His job is to score touchdowns, right?

Nope. He's Tee Higgins, a professional football player, and his job is to win football games. By selflessly taking a slide, passing up the touchdown, he all but guaranteed his team the win. "Brilliant!" was what Al Michaels called it immediately, and he was right. If you give Aaron Rodgers the ball with 1:45 to play, there's a good chance he makes the game winning drive. Not letting him have the ball was absolutely the best call.

And this was on a night when his teammate, Ja'Marr Chase, had a monster night with 16 receptions. Tee Higgins put the team first anyway. Great job.

And a terrific football game, by the way. The entire fourth quarter was must-see TV.
