I 4 wheel align with new tires. The cost of balancing, rebalancing, rotating, aligning exceeds replacing the tires 10,000 miles early.

With stone chip roads, aka stone seal - tar with rough stone on top, the 40k tires wear out around 30-32k. So that's a consideration too, you may not have stone chipped roads.
