4. I use full Syn oil (10w30) in my truck now. Change it

religiosly every 5000 miles with a new filter(Fram). Thats how I got 270,000+miles from the factory engine.
As for gas, I use Shell as often as possable, Chevron next and as a last resort Exxon.

However I will admit that I didn't change the fuel filter till 120,000 miles.

I take very good care of my vehicles, they are a big part of my means of making a living.
