2. I remember when they moved to Kansas City in 1955.

That was the first year I was interested in baseball. I was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers, who won the world series that year.
All I remember was that the A's really sucked. They didn't have a winning record for any of the years they were in KC.
The change of location did the trick though, they had a long string of winning seasons, and 3 straight world series wins in Oakland.
It's too bad for the Oakland fans; 3 generations of rooting for the A's and now they are going to be abandoned.
I felt the same way when the Dodgers went to LA.
But now I'm Mets all the way.
