5. Ok, I've been a little skeptical up to this point

As noted above, the text seemed too dialogue-heavy and frankly lacking in McCarthy's signature grand style.

Well, a major plot event just occurred, and almost immediately after that I ran into some of the best writing I've ever seen. I was halfway through the segment before I came up for air and said "yeah, that's why I bought it."


Whew. I'm sorry to have doubted the writing!
