4. I felt sort of that way with "Contact" by Carl Sagan.

There were two reveals in the story that really made it worthwhile. And the movie, which sucked big time, wrote out both of them.

I just started "The Swallows" by Lisa Lutz. I'm only about 25 pages into it, but it's already hooked me, so we'll see.
