20. ABSOLUTELY NOT is my answer to your first question

And your perception of my words is very much mistaken.

There is only ONE POINT I've been trying to make in these exchanges:

Not every single one of the more than 77 million who voted for Trump in 2024 is a racist full of hate against non-whites.

Statistically, demographically, that is a virtual impossibility. 24% of Black men and 7% of Black women voted for Trump in 2024. Also 50% of Hispanic men and 36% of Hispanic women.

When it comes to white Trump voters, I will agree that a high percent is cultural & tribal, which contains a large element of racial hatred. But it's not 100%, as I know from personal experience.

But they all have one thing in common -- they share the blame for the catastrophe of this Trump administration. For the injury done to every person as a consequence. For the reversal of progress in racial, gender, social, civil, and economic justice.

Now, what should be our highest priority?

We have to win elections, and resume bending the long arc of the moral universe towards justice.

Not back to any status quo that existed before the 2024 election, or the one before that, or the one before that. Towards REAL progress; towards fulfilling the highest ideals of an America which have never been sufficiently fulfilled.

In no way, shape, or form have I intentionally suggested any of the things you apparently ascribe to me in your post to which I am replying.

But winning elections and making real progress is an extremely difficult task with the American people so bitterly divided. We have to win back the People of Color and so many others who were conned into voting for Trump.

It's a waste of time trying to coddle or persuade Maga cultists full of hate -- or any person incapable of admitting they were wrong, or of seeking true redemption.

I ask you to go back and read my first post in this thread. The concept of forgiveness and redemption was my reason for posting here in the first place.

Peace,
Martin
