What Trump voters "deserve" is secondary to whether they can reject Trumpism and help us save our country from fascism.
To the extent our attitudes and interactions with them will influence their contribution in this effort (primarily their votes) we should keep in mind the imperative goal of winning elections.
Actual forgiveness resides in the heart of each person in a position to forgive -- especially among those most injured.
True redemption must be sought, through actions, by those who acknowledge the wrong they have done.
To me, forgiveness is like trust; it must be earned. If I believe someome has honestly found redemption, I might forgive an individual person. It may depend on the severity of the injury.
The injuries caused by the election of Donald Trump are widespread and severe, affecting more than myself and circle of family & friends.
Forgiveness truly is a matter of the heart in each of us. Sometimes, the family member of a slain victim can only begin to heal through forgiveness.
Of this I am certain:
Our country needs healing, but first we must defeat the fascists who are destroying it.

The fascist strategy has been to turn Americans against each other, to divide and conquer. Decades of propaganda have heavily influenced many otherwise decent folks who lack the necessary critical thinking skills to break out of the bubble in which they were raised or into which they were misled.
This is in no way excuses adult citizens who should know better, or hateful racists beyond redemption. I don't foresee a day when all Americans will be united, but I do believe it is possible to overcome the current threat and to start building a better future.
It is up to each of us, individually and collectively.
