6. I'm sure they'll begin popping up

Keep in mind that any refutations will essentially give Richwine more exposure. So I'm sure there are people who would like to do so, but prefer to let his 15 minutes die a quiet death. Nevertheless, I am sure some people will pop up here and there and do so any how.

Much of what I've already read preempts Richwine's writings. For example, in trying to overlook the wealth gap between US Caucasians against Hispanics an Blacks he looks to National IQ stats. However, it's been pretty thoroughly shown that National IQ rates correlate (inversely) with the presence of infectious diseases and parasites (which of course, hinder economic development if not basic nourishment).

It's difficult to run a control group within the US. Since blacks and Hispanics are generally born into lower income households, one would expect them to have, on average lower IQ scores since they are less likely to pursue the educational and career opportunities afforded to those higher on the economic ladder. We have also seen a widening gap between the rich and poor over the last 30 years, and the US lags many (most?) other industrialized nations in terms of upward mobility of lower income families. Compound the numerous stereotypes both of these minorities grow up facing and I think you have a credible explanation of continuing low IQ scores.
