I just had the scare of my life!

13. One thing has me stymied right now, and I'm

hoping that counselor from my doc's office gets in touch with me soon. I need to see about getting a durable power of attorney for him. I did it when I began taking care of my Mom, but I went online and did it from one of the groups on there. But now I can't remember the name. And I think it cost me like $300 to do it that way. That's the problem... money! I can't afford a lawyer. But since he cleaned out our bank and savings account once by "FBI" scam artists, I'm keenly aware of the need for one before anything else can happen.

Had someone called asking if I wanted to sell my house. Cold call from one of these "We Buy Ugly Houses" groups, no doubt. As many problems as this house has, I was sorely tempted... but then where would WE live?! (LOL) I let him know unconditionally I was not interested and not to call again. But if these types of people are starting to do the cold calling, I'm afraid of what he'd do, not understanding what was being asked of him or the consequences.

Anyone remember what that law site online was called? They used to advertise on TV once in a while... a long time ago, I guess... I've lost track of the years. But then, I've always had trouble recalling time periods, so this is nothing new for me!
